Opened up my bible today and came across Psalm 99:8-9 which states, “O LORD OUR GOD, You answered them; You were a forgiving God to them, but an avenger to their wrongdoings. Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at His holy mountain; for the LORD our God is Holy!”
Think of a time where someone hurt you, made you mad, did you wrong, etc. How did you respond? It can be difficult to forgive and forget. Sometimes, it just seems easier said than done. Our God forgives and forgives and forgives. He has forgiven you for things you didn’t even say sorry for, yet we hold on to grudges on people who spend their life trying to make it up to us. Our God puts us first. When He is hurt because we portrayed Him, he forgives.
Write down someone’s name that has hurt you that you have not let go of. Close your eyes and pray. Take the burden off of you for you no longer have to hold that pain. He forgives, as should we. Don’t rip the paper up and throw it away to forget about them. Continue to pray and love that person with the love that God has for you.
